⚗️Combined Gas Law
The combined gas law merges Boyle's, Charles's, and Gay-Lussac's laws into one relationship: P₁V₁/T₁ = P₂V₂/T₂. It allows calculation of any one variable when all others change simultaneously.
- 1Convert temperatures to Kelvin
- 2Identify all five known values (P1, V1, T1, and two of P2/V2/T2)
- 3Rearrange the equation to solve for the unknown
- 4Check units are consistent throughout
P1=101kPa V1=10L T1=300K · P2=202kPa T2=400K=V2 = 6.6L(101×10×400)/(300×202)=6.62L

Fun Fact
The combined gas law reduces to each of its three parent laws when one variable is held constant — it is the unifying framework for ideal gas behaviour at any conditions.
