Wallpaper Calculator
A wallpaper calculator determines how many rolls of wallpaper are required to cover a room's walls, accounting for door and window spaces and the pattern repeat that requires extra paper for alignment.
💡
Tip: Always buy one roll more than calculated — pattern-matching means you often cannot return to buy the same dye lot months later.
- 1Calculate total wall area: perimeter × wall height
- 2Subtract door and window areas (approximately 2m² per door, 1.5m² per average window)
- 3Add pattern repeat waste: if repeat is 64cm and roll is 10m, you lose ~6% per drop
- 4Divide adjusted area by usable area per roll (roll width × usable length)
Room 4m×4m · height 2.5m · 2 doors · 1 window=7–8 rolls (standard 10m×530mm rolls)Wall area ≈ 32m² net
