learn.whatIsHeading

The combined gas law merges Boyle's, Charles's, and Gay-Lussac's laws into one relationship: P₁V₁/T₁ = P₂V₂/T₂. It allows calculation of any one variable when all others change simultaneously.

Guía paso a paso

  1. 1Convert temperatures to Kelvin
  2. 2Identify all five known values (P1, V1, T1, and two of P2/V2/T2)
  3. 3Rearrange the equation to solve for the unknown
  4. 4Check units are consistent throughout

Ejemplos resueltos

Entrada
P1=101kPa V1=10L T1=300K · P2=202kPa T2=400K
Resultado
V2 = 6.6L
(101×10×400)/(300×202)=6.62L
