A lever calculator applies the principle of moments to find forces and distances in lever systems: F₁×d₁ = F₂×d₂. A 500 N load 2 m from the fulcrum can be balanced by a 100 N force 10 m on the other side. Levers are the basis of many tools from crowbars to see-saws.
