Military Time Converter
Military time (24-hour clock) expresses time from 0000 (midnight) to 2359 (11:59 PM) without AM/PM. It eliminates ambiguity and is used worldwide in aviation, medicine, military operations, and most countries' daily life.
💡
Tip: Quick conversion tip: for PM times, subtract 12 to get the standard hour. 1830 → 18−12 = 6 PM. For AM: the 24-hour time IS the standard time (0930 = 9:30 AM).
- 1Hours 00–12: same as 12-hour AM (0000 = midnight, 1200 = noon)
- 2Hours 13–23: add 12 to AM equivalent (1300 = 1 PM, 1800 = 6 PM)
- 312-hour to 24-hour: if PM, add 12 to hours (except 12 PM = 1200); if AM and 12, use 0000
- 4No colon needed in military: "1430 hours" = 2:30 PM
2:30 PM=1430 hours (14:30)12 + 2 = 14
12:00 AM (midnight)=0000 hoursStart of a new day
12:00 PM (noon)=1200 hoursMiddle of the day

Fun Fact
Most of the world uses the 24-hour clock by default — AM/PM is primarily a US and UK convention. In Germany, France, Spain, and most of Asia, saying "15:00" (fifteen hundred) is perfectly normal daily speech.
