- 1Measure the room length and width to get total area (m² or ft²)
- 2Add 10% waste allowance for straight-lay patterns, 15% for diagonal or herringbone
- 3Divide total area by the area of one tile or plank to get unit count
- 4Calculate total cost by multiplying units × price per unit, plus fitting costs

ଇନପୁଟ୍
Room 4m × 5m = 20m² · 10% waste
ଫଳ
22 m² tiles needed
Order at least 22m² to allow for cuts
ଇନପୁଟ୍
250mm × 1500mm planks, 25m² floor + 10%
ଫଳ
73 planks
27.5m² ÷ (0.25×1.5m²) = 73.3
