- 1Volume = Length × Width × Depth (all metres)
- 2Litres = m³ × 1,000
- 3Standard 40L bag covers 40cm × 40cm × 25cm
- 4Add 10% for settling after watering
15m × 2m bed, 8cm deep=Volume = 2.4m³ = 2,400L ≈ 60 × 40L bags
