Temperature (C)
Relative Humidity (%)
The dew point is the temperature to which air must be cooled for water vapour to condense. Unlike relative humidity, dew point is an absolute moisture measure that stays constant when temperature changes.
- 1Uses the Magnus formula: alpha = ln(RH/100) + (a × T)/(b + T)
- 2Constants: a = 17.625, b = 243.04 degrees C
- 3Dew Point = (b × alpha) / (a − alpha)
- 4Dew point above 21°C feels humid; above 24°C feels oppressive
Temperature 25°C, Humidity 60%=Dew point ~16.7°C — Comfortable
Temperature 30°C, Humidity 80%=Dew point ~26.2°C — Oppressive
Temperature 10°C, Humidity 40%=Dew point ~-3.5°C — Very Dry
| Dew Point °C | Dew Point °F | Comfort Level |
|---|---|---|
| < 10 | < 50 | Dry — very comfortable |
| 10–15 | 50–59 | Comfortable |
| 16–18 | 60–64 | Slightly humid |
| 18–21 | 65–70 | Humid — noticeable |
| 21–24 | 70–75 | Very humid |
| > 24 | > 75 | Oppressive and tropical |
