How to Calculate Data Center Power
What is Data Center Power?
A data center power calculator estimates total power consumption (in kW and kVA) and PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) for a server room. PUE = total facility power ÷ IT equipment power; industry average PUE is 1.5–1.6, meaning 50–60 cents of every dollar of electricity powers cooling and overhead rather than computing.
