Converting a fraction to a decimal means performing the division indicated by the fraction bar. Some fractions produce terminating decimals (1/4 = 0.25); others produce repeating decimals (1/3 = 0.333...). A fraction terminates only if the denominator's only prime factors are 2 and/or 5.
