Currency Converter
Indicative rates — for live rates use a forex service.
A currency converter translates an amount from one currency to another using the exchange rate between them. Exchange rates fluctuate continuously based on supply, demand, inflation, and central bank policy.
💡
Tip: For the best exchange rates: use a credit card with no foreign transaction fees, or a service like Wise/Revolut. Avoid airport and hotel exchanges.
$100 USD at EUR/USD = 0.92=€92.00100 × 0.92
£50 GBP at USD/GBP = 1.27=$63.5050 × 1.27
Bid/Ask spread
Banks and exchanges charge a spread between the buying and selling rate. When you exchange cash at an airport, you pay a large spread (up to 5%). Online services like Wise charge much less.
Cross rates
To convert between two non-USD pairs (e.g. EUR to JPY), multiply the EUR/USD rate by the USD/JPY rate.
